On Monday, December 18, the Holliston Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Pearl Street for an unoccupied house under renovation. [submitted photos] On Thursday, July 13, Engine 3 visited the Holliston Police Department's Jr. Police Academy.
On Monday, April 24, the Fire Department honored Retired Deputy Chief Donald Kramer at a funeral service at Breezy Hill Farms on Adams Street, followed by a committal ceremony at Lake Grove Cemetery. On Tuesday, April 11 at 6:34 PM, the Fire Department responded for a woman who had fallen on Hopping Brook Road. Due to her injuries, the decision was made to fly her to a trauma center. Engine 4 assisted with extrication from the woods. Engine 1 secured the landing zone on Summer Street. The individual was flown by LifeFlight to UMass/Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester.
On Friday, February 17 at 2:40 PM, the Fire Department responded for an
animal rescue on Linden Pond. Despite the efforts of both the first
responders and the nearby animal hospital, the dog did not survive. On Thursday, January 25 at 12:04 AM, the ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash on Washington Street. Rescue 1 gained access to the patient using the Jaws of Life, while Engine 3 stood by with lighting. The patient was transported by ground to UMass/Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester.
