On July 21, Firefighter/EMTs Justin Brown and Brian Griffin brought Engine 4 to Goodwill Park on Green Street for Water Day, in partnership with the Holliston Parks & Recreation Department. (photos courtesy of Holliston Parks & Recreation) The Holliston Fire Department responded to a report of a pedestrian accident on Fiske Street on May 18. A male patient was transported to UMass/Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, after receiving initial patient care from the Holliston Ambulance and Events EMS. Holliston Fire Chief Michael Cassidy and District Fire Warden Scott Bassett discuss the Open Burning Regulations with a local resident, following a call from the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Bureau of Forest Fire Control indicating that a column of smoke was visible from the Sudbury Tower. [Photo by Mark Fisette] The Holliston Fire Department responded to a single car motor vehicle accident on Washington Street shortly after midnight on February 23, 2006. The 35 year old male driver of the vehicle was trapped, and had to be extricated by members of the Ladder/Rescue company using the Jaws-of-Life. The patient was transferred to the care of New England LifeFlight at a nearby landing zone, for transport to the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. The Holliston Fire Department responded to a report of a "pole fire" on Turner Road on January 3, 2006. The Holliston Police Department captured these photos as fire crews awaited the arrival of NStar Electric. Protocols prevent fire crews from extinguishing a fire with an electrical source until the power has been shut down. [Photos courtesy Holliston Police Department]
