The Holliston Fire Department took delivery of its new ladder truck on
October 26. After training by the factory representative, the 2011
Pierce 100' mid-mount will be placed in service and the 1983 Maxim 85'

The Holliston Fire Department responded mutual aid to Sherborn on Thursday,
October 13 for a structure fire on Washington Street. Holliston crews
worked alongside personnel from Sherborn, Ashland and Dover in extinguishing

The Holliston Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash with
entrapment at Ashland and Maple Streets on October 7. Access was
gained to the patient with the Jaws of Life by the crew of Rescue 1.
A 45 year old male was transported by A3 with paramedics from Events EMS to
the Warren Conference Center in Ashland, where a landing zone had been
secured for Boston MedFlight by the Ashland Fire Department. The

Chief Cassidy and Holliston Engine 3 responded mutual aid to assist with
securing a landing zone for Boston MedFlight at the Fruit Street School in
Ashland on September 26, following a serious motor vehicle crash on Pond

The Holliston Fire Department honored the service of Retired Chief Donald
(Bud) Rawson on September 24, during and following his funeral service.
Chief Rawson served the Town faithfully for more than 40 years, including
the Fire Department from 1958 to 1991, retiring as its first full-time

The Holliston Fire Department ambulance transported a patient from a July 1
motorcycle crash on Curve Street to a landing zone in Ashland.
Paramedics from Ashland Fire assisted with patient care, and firefighters
from Ashland Fire secured the landing zone. The 50 year old male was
transported by New England LifeFlight to UMass Memorial Medical Center in

The Holliston Fire Department transported a patient from Washington Street
to a landing zone at FEMA, following a motor vehicle rollover on May 6.
The 54 year old male was transported by New England LifeFlight to UMass

The Holliston Fire Department transported a patient from Hanlon Road to the
landing zone on South Street, following a motorcycle crash on April 30.
The 47 year old male was transported by Boston MedFlight to Beth-Israel
Deaconess Medical Center.
The Holliston Fire Department responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash
with entrapment on Concord Street on April 27. One patient was
transported by ground to UMass/Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
